How it started
Established in 2022 from the upstairs prep space in The Watermark Bar, Leeds with the aim of supplying high quality block ice to bars and restaurants in the city. Now we are supplying clients all over Yorkshire and around the North from our production unit in Pudsey.
The goal continues to be to bring access to the Northern bar scene to the highest quality custom ice.
How it’s going
Fast forward two years, and Cool Cats is now proudly operating out of our dedicated ice production unit in Pudsey. We’re producing over 1,000kg of premium block ice every week, delivering from Hull to Chester and Newcastle to Leicester, keeping the North well-stocked with the clearest cubes in the game.
But it’s not just about quantity - we’re serious about quality, creativity, and impact.
We're on a mission to redefine what ice can be in cocktails. Not just in terms of temperature and dilution, but as a visual, tactile and storytelling element behind the bar. We work closely with bartenders and venues to push beyond the standard cube and explore what’s possible when ice becomes part of the menu’s narrative.
Sustainability is built into everything we do. From energy-efficient production methods to biodegradable and recyclable packaging, we’re committed to keeping our environmental footprint as clean as our cubes.
